AP: Flood alert announced in Srikakulam

Flood alert was sounded in Srikakulam for Vamsadhara and Nagavali rivers in the wake of continuous rainfall. Flood water level touched 50,000 cusecs in Vamsadhara river at Gotta Barrage by Wednesday evening and expected to increase one lakh cusecs.In Nagavali river flood water level reached 25,000 cusecs and expected to increase by night. District Collector K Dhanunjaya Reddy reviewed the situation with officials and directed them to maintain a strict vigil.
