Nellore Rural constituency legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy held a review with the irrigation, panchayat raj, public health and RWS officials at the YSR Congress Nellore Rural party office on Monday.

Senior officials were surprised to be called for a meeting even before the formation of the new government.

An official said Chief minister designate  Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had also decided to hold review meeting with every department from June 1, after  swearing in as the Chief Minister on May 30.

Sources in the YSR Congress said that Mr Sridhar Reddy had advised the officials to keep him informed about their activities in Nellore Rural constituency and that he also made it clear that he would not tolerate interference of any MLA, MP or minister in his constituency. This is indirectly cautioning the officials against heeding to orders of other party leaders.

The TD legislators in the previous government also did not  entertain other legislators or ministers poking their nose into the affairs in the constituency.

Known for his concern towards people’s problems, Mr Sridhar Reddy told the officials to give priority to public issues, while hinting that he will not tolerate any delay in that aspect.

Commissioner of Nellore Municipal Corporation SK.  Aleem Basha was also present at the review meeting.

The officials of various departments came to the meeting with all the required documents to present to the MLA.
